Chapter 13 Working At A Phamacy
With her mother gone the sister took great interest in her and under her tender care she again improved. Her old lover also spoke to her weekly in the evening only on the phone.Under such tender care her condition improved.
In 2007 she went job hunting. It was quite easy in Petaling Jaya should she wanted to work and were not choosy, there were ample jobs available. With her experience as a nurse she was easily acceptable by a Silly Phamacy in Petaling Jaya.
However she was never well paid here but she carried on working anyway,as she never wanted to depend on anyone, let alone her sister. For her she had wanted to be kept busy which was invariably be good for her.For being alone her mind will surely wandered into wild imaginations.
Of course, should she not work she can still survived without a doubt because her old lover had provided her with sufficient funds to survive the rest of her days. Her funds were banked in her accounts and the interest accumulated will surely be enough for her to go by.
Her lover had also given her some shares in some "blue chips" in Singapore share market. With the demised of her dear mother the mother had returned some shares into her name.
These shares were purchased by the mother with money balanced from the first time her old lover gave to purchase her house. However, according to her some shares are still with the brother who had not return them to her.
Another uncle, her mother's brother had also held some of her shares but had flatly refused to return them to her,but gave her merely $500/= a sort of settlement to keep her quiet. Her other Auntie was aware of such a deal that her Uncle indeed held her shares. But damn Uncle had refused to surrender them to her despite her trying to secure them back. Some relatives she had.
With her working she insisted on returning back to her own home to stay. Her dear sister was reluctant to let her go but had to release her because she knew she was not happy residing with her family especially when her husband was around.
When she left her sister's house her brother in-law gave her ten chicken eggs as present or for good riddance.Well that was left to be seen. Her car was left behind for sister 's used and her sister insisted that she never drive again for fear of another accident on her part.
Since she was no more using that car she sold it to her sister at a slightly lower price .She sold the car to her sister in good state of mind.Following she traveled daily to work by bus.In any case Petaling Jaya was not far off.
She was by no means happy in her job nevertheless she tarried on,waiting on for the next or better job to come by in due course. She had the present of mind to want to survive on her own, never mind the fact that even without a job she could still live on comfortably.
Deep in her mind she still wanted to return to Singapore where her old lover dwelt. It was something very sad for her.Unknowing to her dear lover does not want her returned to Singapore. He feared that her presence could effect his status in the eyes of the public, his architectural firm and most of all his immediate family.
Should he wanted her to be in Singapore ,he could easily fixed her in any position she wanted with his high status.Of course given the choice he opted to prevent that for his family's sake. His wife was already suspicious of his relationship with the nurse.
It was natural for him to behave as such and he had no choice.Ming was already very sick and she feared that bringing her back to Singapore would be detrimental to her state of mind or more problems for him or her.Her sickness might even get worst.
Seeing that she could accept his simple explanation that he was an extremely busy businessman who had to travel often overseas for meetings etc.,he thus lallowed the matter to settle as it was.Well.the good thing was she believed him. This really solved many problems.
However,he always kept her to expect his phone calls whenever he be back. The phone usually came in the the evening.Apparently he would called her from his car while driving on the way to his own home in Singapore.Very cunning indeed - this way no one not a single could overheard them love talking.
She was always happy on receiving his phone calls and there after dwelt in sudden silence for some moments pondering what had transpired between them.At least he always gave high hopes which were never to come by.
That to me was very bad and cruel especially for a mentally depleted person like her.It made her dwelt in dreams that would not come true.Hopes that could never materialized.Of course he had expected her to burst out wildly in due course.
That could be fatal for before long she might burst into a huge infernal.Which I presumed would sent her sky high and a terrible relapse of her illness. She was made a walking time bomb and could expode any moment. That is for sure.she made attempts to see him.
That was why the lover was always very tender with his wordings with her, assuring her of bright future to come.Maybe he was waiting for his dear wife to konk out for good.

Chapter 10 The Private Nurse
Looking for another working position in Singapore was then, not that difficult.Another thing - her lover could easily secure her another job at ease but he did not even bother to try. That was because he never wanted to expose her further to the general public.
So he actually was doing a lot of thinking scheming what to do next?.Well,he need not look further because within those time his dear aged mother was getting ill and getting serious by the days.Being old her movement were slow and restricted. Not only that she also needed medical attention round the clock.
Being a filial son he immediately thought of recruiting a nurse to take of his dear mother. Her wife duly agreed him.Ming fitted in his program.By employing her as his mother's private nurse suited his plan.At least ,now she would not only have a job and definitely kept her sane.At the time he could see most of the time whenever he wants.
He was fully aware that spelled danger as that would meant that she and him will be under scrutinized by his beloved family most important of which was his dear beloved wife.Nevertheless he took the plunge to employ her.
When he told Ming about his plan she was very happy and willingly agreed to nurse his mother. She was elated because this could mean she be most of the time be under the same roof with her lover. Both duly discussed what they were about to encounter should be employed. She agreed without hesitation to all his terms.
Certainly now our dear Ming was readily at hand to serve him better. The thing was would it be safe with her around the house?.Would she aroused the suspicion of his immediate family. However after careful thinking he made up his mind to take the risk with her.
He thought that by making her understand his predicaments he would be safe.Of course he also made her promise to be a good girl while nursing his mother.Well, would a young woman suffering from schizophenia be contained to behave herself, was left to be seen.
Nevertheless he took that plunge to employ her as hs mother's private nurse.

Nevertheless he took that plunge to employ her as hs mother's private nurse.
Well, initially she did behaved very well as any nurse should.Oh yeah, she could try her very best but the old man was very "ham sup"or romantic. He began sneaking on her from behind.Grabbing her from the back, holding her tightly and kissing her feverishly.Of course he was extremely careful in the beginning.Performing his act whenever his his family members were out.He could not careless of the other servants. In any case he would always made them perform other chores away- from the mother's room. But things sometimes cannot be that wonderful- so nice.
So brave was he that he sometimes forgot the sick old mother who was always asleep whenevr he creeped unto her to hold her tightly and kissed her warmly.Yes,for once the old lady caught a glimse of his dear son making love to the private nurse. But both were so immensely involved to worry about anyone seeing them in close embarass.
However, the old lady was too sick or weak to sound out anything or made any gesture to arouse them that she was awake. In any cthey were too involved to notice her.
Somehow the old lady did not even inform her daughter-in-law of her son's encounter with the private nurse. If she does that ,that was certainly disastrous. The whole family would definitely plunged into chaos. His wife would have crucified him. Instead she chose to do her way quietly.
So one day while the nurse had gone on leave she called her son to her side. There she whispered into his ears,"Your damn old fool, stop what you are doing with the nurse""You stop the affair or I terminate it for you,for the sake of your family".But when he offered to explain further to her.
She hastily told him,"Sack her.I do not need her service anymore and if you do not stop her,I will tell your wife to". With strict instruction given he just simply had to obey as most filial son would do.So Ming was told to leave in a nice way.She packed left quietly as he insisted but she kept asking for a reason why her services was not required.
Chapter 7 Her Father's Demised
On learning of her being brought back to Kuala Lumpur her loving father without any consideration immediately drove down to Kuala Lumpur all by himself in his old faithful car. When he arrived at her sister's house he immediately saw Ming in the room.
When she saw him she could recognized him and lugged at him. Grabbing him with joy,as the old man was very dear to her.She was immensely filled with joy and happiness as she held him close to him.Within that moment she appeared well and could remember all things very well. That did not last long as she soon drift away to a transformation of behavior. By now all understands her predicament so they all went along and allowed her be.
That evening they all had dinner together. There were not sufficient room for her brother and friend. So their brother and friend left to lodge at a five- star hotel in the City.Their father stayed back at the sister's house. That evening while chit chatting with her dear father, her father held her (Ming's) hands tightly closed to him. Showering his affection and kind words for her his lovely daughter as he had not seen her for quite a while.
As he held her hands Ming suddenly discovered her father's hands extremely cold, too cold for comfort. Her enthusiasm aroused those around to feel their dear father's fore head. They found that he was having fever and he frown at it insisted it was actually minor , a small thing too small to reckon with. However the family forced him to consult a nearby doctor.
So the family send him to a nearby clinic. On examination the doctor in attendance insisted he be send to the hospital immediately. So in haste the family sent him to the University Medical Centre,Petaling Jaya where he was hospitalized. His condition was stable when admitted. He seem alright and was cheerful but they still kept him in the hospital for further observation.
He was thus in hospital for about three days,by the end of which Ming had some allusion that her father had called her to take him home the following day as he thought he was well. She could be thinking about about her dad most of the time that was why she fell into that allusion whereas she actually never received a call from her dear father.Of course she was missing her dear father all those while.
Unfortunately that unfaithful evening a late night call came from the hospital requesting their presence at the hospital as their father condition had suddenly turned deteriorated. The whole family rushed to the hospital expecting to see their father in a critical condition but when on arrival the authorities concerned informed them that their father had passed away. That shocked the whole family.
The sudden death of their family saddened the family and a great blow to all.The one most effected by his sudden demised was undoubtedly Ming and her condition deteriorated bad further. This unfortunately burdened the whole family. On one hand they have to take care of the funeral of their father and at the same time Ming.
Although the funeral Ming 's condition deteriorated and the family had difficulties in keeping her quiet especially the poor mother who had just lost her husband and also to care for her lovely daughter. To care for a mentally ill is definitely very difficult although by now she had experienced many of of her odd behaviors. Many a times she would fall into a lapse of hallucinations with memories varying.
Thee were times she seemed to be seeing funny, funny things.Talking to herself or to some one that was non existence.Laughing all of a sudden which without warning transformed into a crying baby. She would cry aloud but such were common occurrence. The feared things of all these were her sudden screaming out of no where. She would also suddenly gave out loud yell, putting every 0ne in a state of shock.
The one she dearly missed glaringly in her delusions was her lover, that old lover, the famous architect from Singapore.Till then her brother had failed to locate him or only to be inform that he was still overseas for business. When in good mood she would sing lovely tunes about him serenading as if to him. When she could not see him,her tone would turned onto awful curses of him.
Her mother had not seen that old lover of her daughter.it was through her dear brother that her mother and other family siblings came to know of the existence of an old lover. This surprised the dear mother as the lover was s old her.How absurd and ridiculous her daughter can be.However, that was not the time any more to dispute or reject that very fact that her dear daughter has an old lover as old as her parents.
The old mother was left in anguished about her daughter's lover and how to address him should they meet.Well,to call him brother would be stupid and addressed him as son-in-law does hold any better for he is was old as her or her husband. Those funny ideas drifted by her mind.Well at least she had the presence of mind to see how things later on,but up to that stage they have to locate that old lover immediately.
So her brother returned to Singapore after their father's funeral. When in Singapore he finally contacting the old Architect and told him about his mistress. The astonished old lover had just returned home to Singapore, therefore had much to do before he could focus his attention on his lover. He was and still is the head of one of Singapore largest and most famous Architecture Company. Therefore he was an extremely busy man.
He also had to be extra careful as not to arouse his wife and family that he has a mistress.Should they know him of his extra mural activities that would be disastrous. He took a few days extra to adjust everything before he could fly straight to Kuala Lumpur. That too he could never be away long but Kuala Lumpur is within easy reach and he could travel to and fro within a few hours on the same day without arousing any suspicion from the wife.It was simple for all these his Assistants could easily have them arranged for him.
When he was ready he took a morning flight straight to Kuala Lumpur. Before his flight he had pre-direct contact with Ming's sister. When he arrived the sister and husband were at hand to welcome him at the Subang Airport. No time was wasted as they took him straight home.On the way they told him of Ming's condition and that she was longing to see him.
On arrival they took him straight to Ming's room.As he approached her he was taken aback. Because as they neared Ming her. She looking at him with surprise shouted."Who is this old man?".Yes at first she could hardly recognized him.And he tried to hold her minds she pushed him away , shouted again,"Go away from me you dirty old bastard.Go away".Seeing her in such a bad state, they all withdrew from the room, leaving the mother behind to console her.
Her mother had a tough time convincing her that that old man was indeed her lover and had come top see her. However most of time her mind wandered away but when her mind drifted back to her lover she suddenly remembered her lover. Then only she slowly asked for him.Fortunately he was still around and he quickly went in to see her.Initially she was quite angry with him accusing him of not caring for her.The old lover was quick to please her with sweet loving words. With that they shared some passionate moments together.
However her condition was temporary and changes with extreme haste. When ever she felt angry she would shout at her lover again and again. Why? because her mind was set on returning to Singapore and reside there for good. With her condition or with her having that sickness which could relapse every now and then,he had second thoughts about taking her back to Singapore.
Therefore the most ideal place to place her was in Kuala Lumpur with her mother. As he could see the living space within her sister's house was too small to house Ming and her mother. He suggested to purchase a house for her in Kuala Lumpur. The house he ruled should be quite near to her sister's residence. As such her sister could look after them when ever possible.
With that arranged he immediately flew back to Singapore just before night fall. Her sister was given the task to locate the house Ming and mother. The best thing be within the housing estate of her sister's,but that failed.Within a week or so she finally located one - two and a half stories linked house in Taman Sri Sinar,Segambut.
Their mother also took a second look at the house and she seem to like it very much
The mother was impressed by the locality as well as the house itself as it was newly re-painted and therefore extremely cleaned. It was walking distance from her sister's house.Of course she made sure that the house be not too near to her residence .She made it doubly sure they could not be bothering her every now and then for the smallest of all problems.Or was it her husband's idea?.
The mother and daughter met the house owner who quoted a market price of one hundred and seventy thousands. Both parties mutually agreed to it .With that in hand they informed Ming's lover who has returned to Singapore, of the price of the house etc.. He was at hand to receive the news and immediately without hesitation he remitted about three hundred thousands to her sister, the Bank Manager.
The house was purchased with cash from her lover. The extras were utilized for furniture and other house hold items.Later the lover also remitted some extra cash for her future expanses, all placed in bank accounts. He also brought a a car of her choice
to keep her happy. That was in mid 1995,and she was just recovering from her lapse of the mental illness.
Well.she could not drive the car initially as she had not recovered fully but her mother could. So they have a comfortable life without a doubt for money as her dear old lover had fully provided them with. With much extra cash in hand her mother invested part of the money in shares. Those investments were placed in her mother's name as she was still not well as yet.Well that was the best thing the mother could have done at that very moment but that prove her wrong as time went on..
The house was purchased without any hitch and there was ample cash for every thing. Her old lover surely made sure she stayed back in Kuala Lumpur for good making her life as comfortable as possible. Both Ming and her mother shifted into that house as soon as all documents finalized. What a relief for the sister's family?.
With her mother tending to her,Ming recovered slowly and steadily. Her old lover would called her whenever possible but he kept informing her that he would be on overseas trip most of the time. There were times when away he would remit her a post card or so.However he still called her whenever he was back in Singapore.
He knew very well she was yearning for him most of the time.He keeping her waiting .hanging there waiting for his call. What a cruel attitude I think. But that was the way to keep her happy otherwise she would want to return to Singapore. He kept reminding her that she can see him in Singapore whenever he be free because Singapore is only a few hours from Kuala Lumpur by express bus and nearer by plane,so consoling her there were o big deal.
However, old lover of course was indeed a very busy and according to her is the Boss of a famous architectural firm which designed the Esplanade of Singapore a couple years back.Well that what she told me.

Chapter 9 Singapore Here She Returned
On receiving the news that she was once again accepted by the Singapore General Hospital, the elated Ming immediately served her employer a month's notice. However reluctant the good doctor released her.
She also called her old lover to break the good news to him.He received it with mixed feelings. His original plan was to place her away in Kuala Lumpur far from him.For he feared any relapsed of her illness.Any re-occurence would definitely effect his position in Singapore, both publicly and within his family..
Well with her getting better and securing again a place to work in Singapore, she, of course was therefore extremely happy. This opportunity she would never forgo at any price. Most important then was she would be re-united with her old lover again and be together for longer periods or forever..
The mother gladly accepted that fact but would not follow her to Singapore. She preferred to stay back at their new home alone. This could mean she was nearer to her first daughter,Lilian Goh,a bank Manager and her grand children whom she was now fond of..By now most her friends and relatives were in Kuala Lumpur.
In any case Singapore is not far away as she could easily traveled home to see her mother within hours by express bus or even faster by plane. So no big deal.Surely by now given the choice she would never permit her dear mother to bulge in between her and her lover. She will definitely want to be left alone with her old lover at their love nest.
She finally reported for her duty in Singapore but she did not accept the lodging provided by the Hospital. Her dear old lover had already got prepared a flat in Tiong Bahru for her.A very secluded place where he could be with her whenever he wanted without any hindrance.
What a lovely plan?. They occupied the top flat of the three storied flats in Tiong Bahru. Those were the most modern and latest flats that time with a spiral stair way at its back.Quite a high class residential area then..
He had to furnish to suit her tastes. There he assured of peace and transquility .He would be at peace whenever they want to meet.No need to go else where, where the general public eye could have full views of them.Of course he was being extra cautious.
He was a well known architect in Singapore, certainly wanted to keep that secret that he was keeping a mistress in Singapore away from his family and the general public.
.Exposing his new found love to the world would be detrimental to his flagging career as one of Singapore most famous sons.Should that happened the news might break many a hearts but I think Singapore needed some scandals like this boast its image.Well,it is high time they had one.
Now whenever they were together at their safe haven, both seldom venture far or beyond from the place.Whenever they wanted change or wanted to take it easy they would eat at a nearby stall. The old man at the stall provide them with lovely hot dishes of "Char Koey Teow".
Really tasty and real cheap. The old Architect loved that dish according to dear Ming. There were times they would eat those "Char Koey Teow" almost three times a day.Crazy ain't it? Not so - out of convenience?Yes but keep away from the public was the most important thing for him.It is good to play safe .
What a lovely time?. As the Chinese saying goes "Golden house for a lovely mistress". He was so wealthy why not?. There goes their happiness as long as she remained sane.According to Ming they were extremely those days.
However there were days she felt home sick and that happened she would take a trip back to Kuala Lumpur to see her mother. Most of those days she traveled home by express bus and returned to Singapore the following evening. Most of the time arriving back in time for her to report her duty with the Hospital.
Poor thing her lover never followed her home, she traveled home alone.. Of course she does that whenever her dear old lover was going overseas for his business
However her happiness was short lived.Apparently her could not cope up with her hectic schedule at the Hospital. The varying times her meeting with her old lover was causing her some head aches.Within her duty she must be alert at all cost any unthinkable mistake on her part could be fatal.
Jammed with so many things and the heavy duties she suddenly had a minior relapse.During which she lost concentration and made an error in prescribing medicine to a patient. That proved to be fatal which caused the patient much misery.
An inquiry found her being negligence on her her part. Not only that they also discovered her sickness. Thus they were forced to release her from all duties for good.In other words she was sacked.Poor girl being sacked.
Sacking her by now was no problems to her.At least she had an abode to reside in and money was no bother because her lover can easily provide all that she required. Should she be better she can always work for some other employers. That never across her mind.
Fortunately her sickness did not turn out to the worst. In fact with no duties in mind she made hasty and speedy recovery. Thus she began looking for another job.
During her nursing days she had in fact met an old patient who had great interests in her as she was extremely caring and kind towards. So good was her relationship with the old patient that he accepted her as his adopted daughter.
His family accepted duly her as well. That was also why when she was recovering from her illness she had in fact some god friends who cared for her.The relationship among (the family members of the old adopted father) continued even after the old man passed away
She would called them every now and then and they returned the favor vice versa. These the Singaporeans who bright her into the folds of the Lord where she was baptized. That was why her connection with Singaporeans were good and always yearned to be among them.

Chapter 8 Recuperating Cuckoo
With the house being purchased the mother and daughter thus prepared to shift in.So they both went on a shopping spree. So they drove to a Supermarket to do their purchasing. However when at the Supermarket they both decided to split up and each venture a different direction so that they could cover a bigger area to purchase their requirements.
After two hours of purchasing they met at an agreed destination. Both of them definitely covered a huge area of the Supermarket if not all of it.Immediately they set for home. While unloading their purchasers they discovered that they have brought that they have doubled purchased some main items.Such as their crockery which both of them brought.Worst of all almost all identical items.
Other major items included curtains and others.Having laughed over them they next went on to a well known furniture outlet to purchase their requirements..Well,having the dole they spent their money to the fullest purchasing furniture to cover every where of their new residence.
The furniture were immediately transported to their new house by the outlet. With them well arranged they found that the purchases were insufficient so that went on to select them again. With that accomplished they called it a day.
Now that they were already well equipped both shifted into their new house with an easy state of mind. They have more room to move about .The mother was relaxed and her mind wandered back to her sick daughter.Well,as it was she appeared alright but she was at times cuckoo.
Being a psycho her mind would sometimes wonder away into unreality. This happened when she sat around the house thinking of nothing. Her not being able to see her old boy friend appeared to trouble her the most. She seem frustrated.
For each time her thoughts ran across him she would suddenly gave a horrifying yell which brought her dear mother flying down the stairs to her.Had it been someone else claiming her down would be difficult. With her dear mother whom she easily recognized although she went berserk .Everything will be fine within minutes.
In the new house she slept separately from her mother. Her mother occupying the top room while she had the front room of the first floor.Whatever the arrangements were her dear mother still had to be cautious especially in the deep of night. Her daughter Ming was restless in the late hours and was awake most of the time until morning. There after she would dozed off to sleep like a mouse.
Although she seem alright but she was still having hallucinations in the night. Then she would be awake her mind wander off to some where. She began to talk nonsense or talk about things that do not exist at all at times. Thereafter she would be busy walking up and down the house trying to locate something. All done aimlessly. When her mother asked her what she trying to look for.She would just shake her head, looking emptily into the air.
At this stage she was still returning to the University Medical Centre for regular checkup.Initially she was checked by a private psychiatrist at Klinik Pakar located in Petaling Jaya.Doctor in charged was a 71 over years old named Deva Dass.Actual address is 40 A,Jalan 52/8,New Town,46200 Petaling Jaya.
However the good doctor's rate for each consultation was too high.Actually this was not too high as she had her lover to bear the cost. However, she and her mother had second thoughts about that. Both actually thought the good old lover had done more than sufficient for her already. This of course was not factual as the old lover is a multi-millionaire.So they switched to University Medical Centre where the charges were very much lower.
In any case under the tender care of her dear mother she recovered tremendously faster. Both mother and daughter would exercised daily in the morning as well as in the evening, mostly by walking bout the housing estate.By so walking around they also made numerous friends around the neighborhood. However Ming was always doubtful of their sincerity.
With so much time to idle away she began venturing into a buying spree ,and why not with so much cash ti spare?.Should that run low the old lover is always available. And here again "sub sub seow" for one Singapore dollar equivalent to sightly more than three Malaysian ringgit. So money was not a problem to this young Cockoo.
She had longed develop an interest in clothing not only branded but those from boutiques .That was how she met and admired renown designer Chin Toi.She had brought quite a number of clothing items from him.She also stake claim that she was their friend and good customer.
Main reason was because she bore delusions of contradictory evidence with those they talked to.Her moods were often varying most of the time and her mother thus became the binding force between their family and those around. Her paranoid condition made the neighbors forming an adverse opinion regarding her attitude towards them.Being a young woman much annoyance were taken lightly or dispelled.
Her condition improved so fast much to her mother's delight that she pulled up sufficient courage to want to return to work instead idling aimlessly. In fact it would be better for her condition should be utilized fully. At least that would keep her restless mind busy.Of course her top priority was return to nursing where ever possible.
So she began going through the daily newspaper for any position vacant.Getting a job was no big deal with her qualification for nursing position. She came across an ad for a nursing assistant for an ophthalmologist.Well,in the beginning 1977,she was employed by the eye specialist Manjeet Singh for only a short period. In any case she never got used working there but she soon found another nursing position with another clinic.
On leaving the Ophthalmologist she was employed as a staff nurse at Subang Jaya Medical centre where she was placed in charged of dialysis. It was an independent position only seeing to that patients were properly treated. The routine suited her most and her problems never bothered her.She was happy with her job .
Her old lover would call her every now to encourage her,as well as giving her tender advice and loving kisses across the horizons. Keeping her at a safe distance from him,his state and his family.Understandably being a known personality in Singapore does not augured well with a psychotic mistress hanging around. Allowing to be exposed to the general public could extremely disastrous for him.
Well then he should also know that this is a very small world The tinniest of all things even in eggs so tight would could never be hidden forever, yet would eventually it would hatched out a chick.
Of course there was also his family to consider. So he called frequently to keep her at bay.Whenever he was going overseas he would keep her in informed .There were times that he was busy and did not want her to bother him. He would inform her that she was going overseas.Of course he had to lie to keep her calm and free from wild imaginations. As that could be dangerous as she had not fully recovered as yet.
There were few times they met in Singapore. However the meetings were brief and short.Apparently she had to travel down by express bus in the evening and returned the following evening by the same. That was a very smart moved on his part.Leaving no one to suspect him committed any hypocritic moves.Deceiving his family and many because as Boss to stay away from work for a single day is nothing,no big deal.
She served as a staff nurse for Dr. Prasad,a Neurologist visual physician.in mid 1977.She proved her worth there and the good doctor found her an asset. In any case he had a good opinion of her.
That year she also brought a car,a Satria. That was to ease her traveling to work daily. She did not expose how she acquired that car but generally it was well known that she brought it with cash from her lover. What thoughtful lover,or was he?.Somehow being erotic she somehow met with an accident where she banged it against another car which drove out all of a sudden from a blind corner.
Apparently the impact of the crash was quite serious.Had it not been for the air bag she would fatally injured. In any case she landed in the hospital for two weeks. The insurance reimbursed $ 5000/= for repair of the damages. However her sister insisted she abstained from driving for her own safety. So she reluctantly gave up her car.
Her yearning to be with her old lover was driving her nuts. She could not take that any longer. So she hatched out a plan to return to Singapore through nursing for Singapore General Hospital for there was a demand for experienced nurses there. With hesitation, she approached her good doctor who gave her a very strong testimony to support her re-application to that hospital.
Her application was readily accepted after a brief consideration. As she had resigned from that hospital on her own accord and had no adverse reports against her during her last tenure with them,She was re-instated duly and she return to serve there in 1988.

Chapter 6 Her Career As A Nurse
Three years of training as a nurse. A long period for her to endure. All the hardship and finally made it as a full fledge nurse in the General Hospital,Singapore.
Then she was put into full time. Work with binding bond to serve a five full years. Failing which she'd be penalized. Must repay all expenses incurred by her during training to them.
It began on very well. The job suited her.No problems during her initial six months.Thereafter she began to feel the pressure stacked on her. Her schedule was extremely tight. Pushing her to the edge.
Reason was she had to juggle between career and romance.
She was going out with a her old boy friend. A rich and famous architect dope who used his position to seduce her. Into loving him deeply. Showering her with expensive gifts and dinning at fancy restaurants.Things she could only dreamed of.
The tight schedule of daily practical work and and the meetings with her friend took a toll on her, both mentally and physically. Things came to a head and she was primed for a relapse of her old illness,Schizophrenia. She was on the point of collapse but she was quick to respond to it before anything untold could have happened,Yes,she was prompt to point this out to her old lover.
In panic the sympathetic old lover did not know what to do to calm her down or to help her alleviate her pain.Seeing that there was no way out of that delimna she suggested to her lover that she ought to resign from the Hospital, but it was not that simple just resigned that is it? Definitely not for she had to pay indemnity back to the Hospital. She had no means of doing it do and did not know what to do?.
In deep despair her lover came to her rescue and submitted fully in cash to repay the Hospital. With that her resignation was accorded as resignation by her own free will. With that reimbursement the Hospital accepted her resignation gracefully without any fussed. So she left the Singapore General Hospital after actually serving one and a half years with the Hospital. Her bond was five years but her lover made good with a repayment for the rest of the months not served. It was a hefty sum of money but chicken feed to the rich and famous architect.
Leaving the Hospital she recuperated and underwent treatment for illness which was getting serious then.Well, given the full attention by her financially sound old lover and her own relatives she responded very well to treatment. For those she was extremely happy but no sooner has she recovered fully she began applying for jobs again. She just cannot stay alone and enjoy life with her rich and famous lover.
Experienced nurses were in demand those days and soon her application to Balestier Hospital, a private Hospital was a success after an interview.Balestier Hospital is a well known private hospital whose patients were mostly the well to do.It called itself HMI Baliestiar Hospital.H meaning health,M for management and I international. It actually a clinic & health screening centre.
Actually she was there in late 1992 to mid 1993. As usual her work went on quite well.As normal work at this centre was similarly hectic and pressure of work was no lesser. She survived there for about seven months before she re-applied to the General Hospital Singapore as a Nurse.
Her records with the Hospital was in tagged as good because she had earlier left on her own accord. Her relationship with her old lover continued with her as his mistress. The whole affair remained a secret from his family. So mid 1993 she rejoined the General Hospital Singapore,Everything went on smoothly until 1995.
n 1995 she again succumbed to her sickness and once again forced to resign her position as a nurse. This time it was the same as she could not cope with the pressure of the job.Her lover was a very busy architect was not seeing much of her as he had plenty of overseas engagement and therefore away most of the time,.Being left alone most of the time her mind begin to wander astray giving way to wild imagination and delusions.
Her behaviors deteriorated and her personality was effected. This led to hallucinations in the deep nights and she was living alone in a rented room then. Her lover was not around to console her, especially there was urgency that she had to see him as se missed his presence to be with her in time of need. .He was not available when it matters most to her.Apparently he was overseas attending to his business. There was no way she could have reached him as he never allowed her to.
Almost at the same time news of her parents had maternal problems and often quarreling.Their quarrels were leading them, heading for a divorce. These dwelt another severe blow on her on her troubled souls. Both parents have been very loving and dear to her. With them intending to break up really saddened and tortured her already sick brain. Both her parents were her loving guiding stars and with them breaking up definitely shattered her dear heart. She was lost and in panic and had all sort of illusions.
Plunged into deeper sorrow with all those above problems and at those critical moments and without any one to confide in when it matters most she just collapsed again. Her old faithful lover was apparently away and not to be found.According to reliable sources he was overseas on business meetings. She was so stressed when that happened she just simply gave up and had her relapsed.
In fright she had the composure to resign her position as nurse of the General hospital. Thus she left without any benefits as she was leaving on her own accord. She was residing in a rented room then and her younger brother was informed of her condition. He panic not knowing what to do?.Their mother had already shifted off from their family home in Taiping and was residing with her elder daughter in Kuala Lumpur, pending a divorce from their father.
Instead of putting her in a hospital in Singapore for treatment, her brother made the immediate choice and under the instructions from their mother made plans to sent her home to Kuala Lumpur. He brother presently a Manager of a trading company exporting goods to India and other South East Asian countries. To take her back he had to applied for leave from his Company.
Besides treating her in Kuala Lumpur would be much cheaper.Of course medical should not have been the problem as her rich lover could easily pay for all these, but he was not around then.Waiting for him to return will be late and maybe in vain.Their mother also insisted that she be brought back to home ion Kuala Lumpur with immediate effect. For the mother to be in Singapore would not be so ideal as she was unfamiliar with life style in Singapore besides in Singapore the had no other relatives except for the brother.
It was no easy task bringing her back as Ming was unwilling to leave Singapore .Although mentally unstable and having split personality she still bored loving thoughts about her old lover.Hoping he might dropped in to see her again to console her,but he was no where to be found or he was still in the dark as to what was happening.Driving back to Kuala Lumpur with a mentally ill sister was in deed a challenge besides dangerous,so he enlisted the aid of a friend, strong friend.
Strong friend I mean strong sufficiently to hold down a mentally sick woman should she rebuke them and turned aggressive or violent for sending her home to Kuala Lumpur.Mentally ill person were known to be exceptionally strong and difficult to control.Anyway somehow her brother got the services of a friend.
They had a tough time couching her to go into her brother's car for the trip home to Kuala Lumpur. This so because she was at no time wanting to leave Singapore and all the while pinning for her lover to see her.Unfortunately her lover could not be contacted.Apparently he was overseas. However after a long pursuasion she relented and quietly followed them into the car.
However she did not followed them quietly. She went into their car reluctantly often grumbling. At times a loud and some times to quiet to be audible. Most of the while she insisted on seeing her lover and demanded they called him .Also she was having the notion that they were lying to her or trying to keep her lover away from her.Well she was having delusion or something similar. Her brother and friend were patient with her trying their best to keep her happy and quiet.
However she was not aggressive though there were times she had attempted to screamed but somehow held back.Having secured her at the back seat her brother carefully drove off. There was no way he could have driven faster as fear she might open the car's door to jump out of the car as they know she never did want to leave Singapore. He drove on with ears fully attending to what she was speaking. She talking initially along the way but dozed off at certain stages.
There were times that she dozes off and within those split seconds she would all of a sudden woke as if in in hallucinations hearing noises and talking back to it in crying and also in laughter. That caught her brother and company by surprised but they kept their cool and slowly pacify her.
Her brother kept his composure and drove on home straight to Kuala Lumpur at a slow space, never did he dare accelerate faster and that could be fatal. He had to be extra careful as the mentally ill sister was not keen on leaving Singapore. She wanted to be in Singapore where her old lover is,even without a job at hand because her lover was filthy rich so nothing to worry.
With her condition getting worst by the days and she was getting difficult to be comprehended. Her mood were changing and were difficult to tell between reality and unreal. She was never thinking logically. Her emotion varies from minute to minute and not behaving normally in social situations. Her brother had only to shift her home, besides there was no one to take care of her there.anyway there was no one to consult on as the lover of his sister was no where around.Whereas in Kuala Lumpur her mother can look after her and she was insisting on her return.
At times, she remained alert and awake the whole while in the car crouching in one corner of the car grumbling. Very often she was calling out for her lover asking why he was not around to see her off?. They stopped at only at one rest place to ease themselves and to purchase some food and drinks.Ming too went down to refresh and eased herself at those stop but remained quite stable and stayed extremely quiet. However what ever it was they were all the time by her side guarding.
Both men were very careful when talking to her. Very often with soft and caring tone for fear they might aroused her to transform to be violent and aggressive because she was temperamental .Her behavior could changed any minute. They were aware that should she begin to scream that could be disastrous ,bringing unwarranted attentions from the nearby public. But she remained claimed all the while.
The whole trip was a slow and tedious one,it took more than the necessary hours about six hours to reach Kuala Lumpur.Nevertheless they arrived at their sister's house just before night fall.On arrival their mother in haste rushed her loving sick daughter to her room. She put on a brave smile when she saw her mother. There were warm greetings and embarrasses, although both the mother and her shed some loving tears.
Herc sister's house is located in a local housing garden Sri Bintang in Segambut .Her sister is one of the Manager of a huge bank locally. Her name is Lilian.Actually her house housed only her immediate family of five, she and her husband plus a pair of children. They also have an Indonesian maid..Now with the mother and Ming they now have six members .
Their father was present that evening for he had just rushed to Kuala Lumpur on hearing his beloved daughter's return. His presence made dear Ming extremely happy
and her condition improved tremendously. She could recognized every one present and was seen happily chatting away with every one. That sudden changed in character surprised everyone indeed.
Soon it was time to bed and all retired to sleep but somehow dear Ming could not sleep and her eyes kept wandering about looking at the ceiling. Her dear mother tried to specify her but her mind kept wandering. All of a sudden she remembered someone not around and that was her old lover. In anxiety she got angry and gave out a screaming shouting her lover's name, asking his where about?.
At times she asked to be sent back to Singapore.Had not been the present of her beloved parents she would easily have created havoc and beyond control. Yes,she could still recognized her parents who wee very dear to her.Their present really kept her under control, although it was a long long night for them.
To continue or rewrite with further details. This only a draft.

Chapter 5 The Transformation - From A Cukoo To A Magnificient Parrot
Although she had excellent relationship with her colleagues she moved around mostly by herself.Keeping most of the time to herself dreaming sweet and beautiful dreams Well, she indeed was a dreamer.
Whenever free she would leisurely take a stroll out to the city. The city center was quite a distance away and she had to take a bus or other means of transport there. One fine day as she was walking out of the Training Center she decided to hitch a ride instead of going by public transport even though she was not in a hurry.
So putting on a board smile she kept hailing cars for a free ride.Coming along was Purgeot 504 driven by an elderly man.Seeing a damsel as if in distress waving frantically. He smiling broadly stopped to inquire",Hei! Miss, what is up?".With a juggled she gently replied that she needed a ride to the city center and you know what?.He of course obliged on seeing that pretty young chick.
Into the car she hopped and what a pleasant surprised, for in it was an old gentle man at the wheel.(Now who was he?May or may not review in this paragraph ,perhaps later in following chapters).By this meeting it certainly transformed her life completely - from a thinie wheenie small town girl so obscured, rather a cukoo to a beautiful smarter parrot. However life for her ain't that rosy all along.
She was very quick in building up their friendship and instead of going her way he took her to meet his other bosom buddies at a luxurious restaurants and clubs which he was affiliated. Those places were meeting places of the elites rich and famous of Singapore.Of course she was co thrilled by all these. She had lovely time dinning with them while enjoying wonderful meals.
The old gentleman had exposed her everywhere- exhibiting his price conquest. All those rich elites were all trying to out do each other in those places, out reach from from wives of course. On official duties or racing meets they tagged along their wives.Other days they shw off their mistreses.. her back to her hostel after taking her around on his flashy car.To them this was their romantic encounter was extremely special day and they often turned it into practical jovial joke- a joke both shared with much happiness. within the two of them.
Meeting this older gentle man was the turning point of her life. The generation gap between them never existed .Well that known personality was older than her by at least twenty-seven years.A reputable married man with grown up children as old as her who were all highly qualified professionals, working in Singapore . His wife is no small fly either - a highly distinguish person attached to some Singapore Ministry circle.
Ming was badly infatuated with him and he vice versa. Their romantic affair took off in a flying start almost immediately. They began dating at odd hour and dates. She had to follow her work schedule daily but he being a Boss in his own famous Architect company had only simply to adjust his time to her fancy.Any day could be his leave anytime. Most important in the hours not effecting his returning home time to be with his immediate family.
Undoubtedly he was a well known personality in the Singapore circle of elites with an excellent family back ground. What ever it was famous people too required some space for time out outside his normal activities to breath a little, don't you think so?.His meeting with a lovely young sexy damsel was his timely break out from normal routine, and what a coincidence?.God send I supposed.Singapore never had any major scandals maybe it is high time they be informed, and rightly so.
Being in love with an elderly successful architect widened her general knowledge tremendously and lifted her personality and better out look in life.Knowing the old successful business man trusted her into the limelight of the rich and famous, eating and drinking and entertained in five stars hotels and restaurants,a thing most girls could envy and dream of.He trusted her into a world of richness and high class living, she could ill afford or even think of as a trainee nurse.Naturally she loved ,admired and adored them all, anyway which girl would not?.
He only exposed her into his inner circle of friends minus their spouses and his wife of course.Whenever he was with all these buddies he would tagged her along, showing off his pet to them.Anyway to be away with the buddies were also the opportunities whereby he can be with her with them thereafter alone .At least there would not e any suspicions nor questions asked by the wife.
Through him she began to experience and acquire an excellent tastes for expensive branded, designed clothing from boutiques and luxurious items.Of course she could not afford all these herself but that was no problems as the old man showered her with all these items. As a young trainee nurse to own a Rolex watch worth something like twelve thousand ringgit, is something very special and this item she treasured to her heart. What about golden bracelets, chains and diamond rings to name a few,all expensive items. No other nurses or any young could have easily afforded all this items.
In those days of their rendezvous she romantically lost her virginity to him.She was then a trainee nurse age twenty five. From then on she became his mistress. He was then fifty-seven years old.Apparently she was enjoying every minute of their illicit relationship without a doubt .Yes,she had fond memories of them as she happily related to me her story. She is presently forty four and he seventy one.
She had fond memories of South Bay or Marina Bay in the 1990's when they met there very often.South Bay or now known as Marina Bay is near central area of southern part of Singapore and lies east of the down town core.t is set to be 24/7 destination with endless opportunities for people expose new living and life style, options, exchange of new ideas and and information business and be entertained by the rich leisure and cultural experiences. It is here where mot innovative facilities and infrastructure such as under ground "common services tunnel" are built and mega activities take place.Much of this bay were reclamation land which began operation in 1970.
Besides the luxurious food and entertainment (1990s'not present Marina Bay).Quite a secluded place for the rich I think.Like to know what they did there? No,besides enjoying the lovely food etc. and its other facilities they went kite flying.Yes,kite flying an old man and a young girl went kite flying there.
He was in simple attire so that others would not recognized by them.Anyway who could have thought an old famous rich man would be flying kite with a young girl out there?Well, they enjoyed themselves as if young couples do.He was with her flying kites a couple of times. It must be their favorite past time.It is definitely the last place place where his wife or relatives would find him flying kite with his mistress on a working day.
Well, that was what he thought but this is a small world let alone Singapore is not that big after all.People do recognized them especially him, such a known Architect
only thing were not all people were tales carriers or rumour mongers,.Besides, this couple were giving them business by their presence. If anything they would stop short by their employers.
Beside flying kites they also went boating, how romantic, the old man struggling with his paddlers were also anther joke they treasured within themselves. They also swam both on those shores and in their bed of hotels around how nice. The nice place also offered many high class restaurants and chocolate bars, and rest place.I have never been there could not describe much to any presently. All these were for the rich and famous.
The old architect was a race horse owner and owned a couple of horses.Of course she presently dwelt in those old days where she often accompanied him to the races that is whenever his wife was away or not available. There he would tagged her along showing all his buddies of his beautiful young mistress. What ever it was she never led in any of his winning horses, that is supposed to to be led in only by his wife.Well,in that case she would never be around at his side whenever the wife is around.
That how she knew how to bet on horses and was damn good at it.Of course one thing she was or never gamble with her own money only his.It was a case of win I take lose the old man paid.Who would not be happy taking the winnings and not paying for the lost,a sure winner.
As a trainee nurse she was provided with living quarters to fescilitate her easy access to the Hospital and lecture rooms etc..She stayed for three years at the training Centre thereafter on completing her course she put straight away into practical work in the wards. Here she was also provided with living quarters Two to a room I was told.
Later after one and a half years she resigned on her own accord and later joined Balestial Hospital, small group of hospital in Singapore. Then she was residing in rented room. Her lover paid for the rental.
Later he shifted her to Tiong Baru flat residing on the 2nd floor.Tiong baru was a new housing estate then very well known for its wonderful designs with circular stairs to the 2nd floor at its back. There she dwelt with her old lover financed by him,of course. He was there when ever he could. While there he struck to an extremely low profile.
Dressed in simple attire and eating only at a near stall - a
Char Koay Teow "stall operated by an old timer.According to her they would at times eat all their three meals there =simple fried noodles.Cheap and tasty so she claimed but I do not think so.The old lover being a famous Singaporean personality was keeping himself a very low hoping no one recognized him there,A man of his standing could easily take her any where to dine not so lowly a place. The Chinese Old saying said,"Golden House Hiding Within A Beautiful Mistress".
This is only a draft will be subjected to a re-write if and when required.

Chapter 4 Trainee Nurse At Singaore General Hospital
The Singapore General Hospital had a long history of 190 years in service. They have treated annually at least 700,000 patients visits at their specialist clinics, manages 70,000 inpatients and 78,0000 surgeries.Such great achievements and service excellence,It is one of the best in South East Asia without the slightest doubt.
Ming enrolled into a private institution for her tuition in preparation for her forthcoming SPM examination which was robbed of her during her sickness. With a lapse from studies of more than two years it surely was a difficult task ahead. It was important that she get through it for without it ,her future would be diminished. Her sister finance her course,a very sisterly gesture from her indeed.
S o she left the hair salon and concentrated on her studies. It was difficult but with hard word and sheer determination she patiently studied with some tuition from a private college. With that she sat for the school certificate examination as a private candidate.
Apparently she passed her examination with flying colors.Armed with that qualification she could now apply for better positions offered in the press. Thus she began sending application to available vacancies. Her application to the position as Trainee Nurse at the Singapore General Hospital was selected and she was called upon to present herself for an interview.
At the interview the interviewers were pleased with her resume, excellent qualifications and good personality. Those selected were given a medical examinations of which she went through. There were no questions asked regarding her sickness.Well, they never asked so she told them nothing.
She was filled with immerse joy when she received news of her being selected for that position as Trainee Nurse. However there was a slight hitch as she had to sign a bond with the Singapore General Hospital binding her to accept the three years training period and thereafter served the Singapore General Hospital for another five years.Failing which to adhere to her contract of service she had to reimburse the Singapore General Hospital of her default.
As she was so happy that she got that position she without hesitation signed that contract and accepted all the conditions in training etc..So at the age of twenty-two she joined ad Trainee Nurse of the Singapore General Hospital,Singapore. When she first went into training her dear mother sent her there. Her beloved mother left her at the Training Center with a nice bunch of grapes before leaving for home.
Initially she was filled with much joy as she joined the training.Three years was a long period to get by.Her duties as a trainee nurse was quite tough in the initial stages filled plenty of activities and to keep fit and smart at all times.Their schedules were practically very tight. At the beginning there were only courses followed with lots of practical work.Well, for her it was quite strenous but she managed to keep up the space.
They were given dormitories to live within .Two to each dormitory.Although she had a friendly attitude with all the other trainees she kept much to herself. Her behavior was slight squeer to many of her friends but she never had any quarrels with them.Of course at times she spoke to herself and moved freely alone around.Three years of training was soon to pass easily.
The training was by no means easy as she thought it would be it was hectic with tight schedule through out.Besides daily attending daily lectures they were also given a lot of practical work for them to get use to the vast heavy work load as a nurse.Attending to lectures all of them could easily cope with. The practical work was extremely tough for young girls especially the night duties..
During her training she met some Christians (Protestants) and was involved with them whenever she was free. She also attended their church regularly. She claimed that she accepted the Lord while a trainee nurse at a tender age and was duly baptized by a Pastor at his house in front of some church goers.
to be continued.this in only a draft.

Chapter 3 Ming's Dilemma
Many believe that our fate in life lies in the hand of God,if so why He had to be so cruel as to deprive a wonderful girl of good life?.Perhaps fate is cruel,if created by God He could changed its course at least make those sufferers lead a more decent living. Then of course those around her could help her made the difference, blessed those good Samaritans.Cursed those who took advantage of her and made her life miserable.
When as a young man I always considered those born with mentally impaired mind were the happiest people in the world. For I had seen many of them dancing and singing in the streets laughing at the world as they wandered about their normal life, without a care ,happy and joyfully enjoying the world rolled by.Their world were forever free from the sorrow of these world.
Mental disease is hereditary and passed on from generation to generation .But I have seen a difference in the town of Bentong,Pahang. This little town had a host of insane people. What surprises me were the fact that in this town there were always a madman around every time around town as if handed down .When such a person dies off or wandered away or maybe removed to those lunatic asylum these wonderfully happy insane people were replaced with another.
Many will want me to prove, well no problem, I can name you some. When I was first in Bentong in the 1963 there was a madman,a fat joyful Malay man from the Ketari Kampong. This joyful character could be be seen around town always, mind you cycling and many a times dancing along the main road.Another thing about him was he always dressed as though he was an officer holding a short stick and waving about.Whenever there be any parade he will be always in front of the parade as though he were the parade leader leading the parade.Surely a joy to watch and he provided much of the entertainment those days.
When he went missing he was replaced by an elderly Chinese in pajamas attire and sleeveless singlet. He talked to himself most of the time with many a times displaying his powess in "Kung Fu" with a long stick along the streets of Bentong.Of course there were a host of them.
Another sad case I need to tell was a bit of tragedy was that of of an insane woman, being driven off her home was bad sufficiently for her,but as she loitered aimlessly around town and slept at the only us Station in town ,some unscrupulous men, scavengers, odd job workers around and some taxi drivers who gave her a mere dollar or so or a packet of food took full advantage of her and made her pregnant.
What a shameful and indecent act.Against all human sense, raping an insane person making her pregnant without a single soul to admit their misdeed. Some how she was taken away by the welfare department and what a sad case.Man can be so cruel and whoever made her pregnant will have a child unknown to him a child born without a father, cursed be on that man who did this awful thing.
Here I would also like to heighten another story about a mad man in Sri Jaya,Maran,Pahnag. He was a young man, well built and ought to be tall and good looking but unfortunately insane.Well, for a start he was never a border to any one,he was just a plain and simple walker. He would walked miles and miles, north south east and west and repeat those process daily as per routine as if he was on a mission to some where known to him.
For food when hungry he could be found scavenging those rubbish dumps for food, just imagine consuming those dirty rotting food.Certain good Samaritan would always buy him a drink or packet of food on seeing such.At least there are good and kind souls around these days.
Good guys are hard to come by but bad ones are in abundance, these cowards moved around in groups ,for alone they are nothing, utterly useless .There was this group in Sri Jaya,Pahang who ill treated the insane man above.Having induced the insane with some food and drinks they of of mischief shaved small patches on his head.THe poor guy just sat there obediently to be made a fool of by them just for a mere packet of food and drink.
How awful and cruel human being can be.Come to think of it they should be the one who were insane.Have the no brothers or fathers,do they want others to apply their insanity on any of them?.They ought to be ashamed of themselves. However the sufferer did not suffer their insanity for long, for within the next few days or so some kind hearted man had the presence of mind to pay for his hair cut, saving him from further touting by all those concerned.
As I said before this insane man bore no hard feelings against any one and proceeded on what he was used to doing, walking long distances daily to find a solidarity where his soul shall dwelt happily forever, till thy Kingdom cometh.
No doubt about what I said about that such insane people were the happiest people in the world for the above stories were about some unfortunate souls floating around, many still do enjoyed a happy life style.but there are others who would point to me those inmates suffering in the hospitals and lunatic asylum.Their sufferings in the most deplorable conditions while there.
Having shared the above stories let us be directed towards the flight of poor Ming, having been diagnosed with that dreadful disease schizophrenia really devastated her as well as her family.Of course her case was hereditary and one of her young uncle is presently badly sicken by the disease and is being treated or rehabilitated at one of our lunatic asylum in the country and had been there for good ever since apparently.
However through the tender and warm of her family members especially her parents she did not have a terrible encounter with her sickness, her sickness was brief. At the time of her attack she was only sixteen years old, when she was full of life and enjoying it.She had just passed her Lower Certificate Examination with few distinctions and looking forward to perform well in the days to come.Unfortunately fate blew a cruel blow to her educational career when she was only months in form four.
Sickened with that dreadful disease she was forced to withdraw from her studies, her recovery there after was a slow process.Under good medication and tender care of her loving and determined parents she slowly recovered within a year or so,mostly staying at home.Had she been hospitalized her condition would not had improved so fast.
Of course there were times that she went into delusions letting a screaming or two out of no where. That really puts the poor patience parents out of their wits to quiet her or clam her down. Those were tough time for both parents but nevertheless they through their sheer determination and patience did keep her mind at peace. Only thing was it took them a lot of their time. Her parents were great and did a marvelous job .
MOst of time she would spent time sitting in a quiet corner thinking and day dreaming.Being able to dream away time I think did her a world of good,of course when her thoughts ran into beautiful scenarios her smiles were wide and beautiful, maybe she would laughed aloud as she expressed herself in happiness.
When her dreams ran into a sad sad scenes than her mood varies into a delusion her mood would changed to sadness and she indulged in deep sorrow thinking hard in search for an answer. Perhaps she would shed a tear or two,but not to worry as such were only wild wild dreams that had no truths whatsoever in them..No harm I suppose just a momentary passing of time, soon it be over. Those were passing moments which kept both parents in tense situations.
When it was first discovered that she had inherited her life seemingly shattered her life ,her dream to lead a normal life. Every thing ran hare wired, coupled with the state of illness she was sadly pushed to a corner. While on medication she dwelt in her self a lonely sad soul at a corner of her room. There was no others to console her but her parents and other siblings.Poor pitiful soul at so young and tender a age had to suffer thus.
Day in day out she would be left alone, with no one to understand her feelings.Well,of course her parents were there to look after her requirements and offering of tender care but her feelings within her was out of reach to all.Or should there be any there was no way she could expressed them out for all to understand her.Oh Lord why should so young a girl should suffer such torturous fate.
Not only her but many have suffered similar fate and their poor being alive were like hanging on to a thin thread.Yes ,all of them dependent heavily on drugs for their survival.Mind you much of such drugs administered unto them are expensive and sad to say many sufferers can ill afford them.
Ming is one very fortunate soul for she suffered her first attack she had her parents to care for her.Just imagine at about sixteen schizophrenia stuck her and her sickness was so bad that she had to be taken off from school. She was just in Form four. With a school certificate examination she was doomed with no future. Her recovery was definitely to be slow a process.
However initial importance was to treat her first, putting the education aside.Apparently she was never the aggressive type and remained pretty much to herself.Of course there were instances she would talk aloud to herself or let off an occasional screaming ,marveling good nothing others could understand. The tender and gentle care of both parents played an important role in her slow recovery.
Family members took turn to look after her, despite all odds they just did that. Her medications were prescribed by the General Hospital,Taiping,Perak. The medication kept her sickness under controlled although the whole process was rather very slow.
It was slow with a doubt but good for her,for she recovered fully to lead a more normal life.
It took her nearly a year to recover and by that time she was already too old to continue her education in Form four.Actually she was out of place with when they tried to put her in a class of younger students. She could hardly adapt herself among them so she gave it up at her personal free will.
Poor girl with only a Form three education where could she go?.For an ambitious young gal It was going to be hell. When she had recovered sufficiently her parents found her quite restless wandering around the house.Fearing that would aggravate her sickness and induce her to a relapse the had to find something to keep her occupied.
Without a better education she could go no where so they temporarily put her up as apprentice hair dresser with the hope that she could pick up that trade. Most important was to keep her busy or not allowed her mind to wander a strayed. She was not paid for that but instead her parents had to stump some cash to maintain her stay there.Well.they had high hope that she might learn at least a trade there whereby she could fend for herself in future.
She managed to cope up with what there were to offer for sometime although there was not much she could have learned. Her elder sister had better ideas.Sensing the younger sister precadiment she swiftly enrolled her younger sister in a private school so that her younger sister might have a better qualification. With that extra education she would have a better opportunity to secure a much better position else where.
So she was enrolled her into a private institution where many of the students were almost or older than her.Accordingly it was her sister who subsidized her her education fund.
Being a bright student as she always had been, she quickly adjusted and adapt herself well within. Thus she took the examination as a private candidate and not surprising she passed the examination with a reasonable good result despite being absence from schooling for such a long period. Yes,she never let her sister down.
Armed with that good result she began applying for jobs .sending application 3every where.Of course she was looking for something lucrative and to her fancy.
She saw the advertisement for Nurses and without hesitation submitted her application. She had always admired those donning uniform like Nurses so she never let off such golden opportunities.
To be continued with further details.

Chapter 2 Ming's Earlier Education
Her family shifted down to Taiping,Perak when she was about to attend standard one.Ming was then seven years old.She was enrolled into the Convent school there. Her father a teacher himself was transferred to Government fully aided school in Taiping.Prior to this he taught at the private Methodist School in Parit Buntar,
Taiping is actually the second largest town in Perak after Ipoh with a population of 191,104 (2007 census). It is known to be the wettest town in Peninsular Malaysia having an average rainfall of 4000 mm. while the rest of the Peninsular annual rainfall average between 2000 to 2500 mm.Its unusual heavy rainfall helped it to generate fertile collection of flora and century old rain trees in the Lake Garden.
In Taiping they lived in a rented bungalow in Kamunting. It was a house with a huge compound where the children could play in.Around that house were a couple of fruits trees such as rambutan, chiku, mangoes and papayas.Their father by then had brought themselves a car.A Japanese model, the first of the Toyotas-700 series.A very fragile car but can run economically well around town.It was outright the pride of the whole family.
Their father send them to school in the morning and for afternoon classes or lessons they had to go to school on their own or by bus.Everything went on smoothly during her primary education. She was a bright student throughout this period. The same was repeated while she through her first three years of secondary education. In fact she scored very good results for her form three examinations gaining a number of distinctions.
The wide compound offered much space for the mother to establish a large variety of vegetables for the family. There were little doubt that the mother was very green fingers in this field. On top of this she continued to breed a host of domesticated birds like chicken and ducks for the family's consumption.Rabbits were also bred around the house.
Ming thus grew up in a very condusive environment ,a bungalow with a large compound offered a lot of space to run about. The number of fruit trees surrounding the house also provided them much fruits the year round.Rambutan, sour sap, chikus and mangoes came with the house rented.Later some papayas were planted by her mother.Yes,those huge and juicy papayas, fruiting almost at ground level where the kids could even touched them as they played around them.
Ming was quite an active girl and always on the move around the house. While school she joined the Girl Guides movement and on numerous occasion joined them in camping normally around the scenic spots of the Lake Garden and oat least on Maxwell Hill. She claimed to have hiked up that hill resort for at least once and she had been there twice. With the Girl Guides she even had camped there once.
In school while as a teenager she had made an impact as a cook by cooking "Boo boo cha cha"for a school funfair at least once.By her cooking she made a hefty profit for the school fund fair, but to her dismay a teacher claimed that she was charging exobitantly. Was it that unfair? She was earning for the school fund and for a very good cause.Well, the teacher mistook her her kind gesture.
As a school girl she never kept close rapport among any friends and often moved around as a loner. In the evening she enjoyed jogging solo around the Lake Garden.Apparently her father would send her there and left her to jog on her own. He,however would be back to pick her up again sometime later normally after she had completed her round of jogging.
Later her brother with his "Ang Pow" savings brought a racing bicycle for himself but soon got tired of it and left it lying around the house. With that thing lying around she took the liberty to ride away with in the evening omitting the jogging and went joyfully cycling away in the Lake Garden.Well.she never was made to be a champion cyclist but she enjoyed every minute of her cycling while it lasted.
At home actually she was more closer to her brother who is two years younger than her where else the elder sister of his was four years older than her.Whatever it was blood is thicker than water so the sisters and brother were quite attached to each other.Coming to any problems she had it would be most likely with her younger sister and the elder sister beyond her reach, any way.
The family on the whole was a closely netted family with family members only five not a huge family but not too small to be called small.Of course there are relatives to reckon with. They are father's brothers and sisters and mothers 's siblings. They were all in close contact with the family.
Her late father was a keen fisherman often went fishing with his fishing buddies, fishing in either fresh water or in the sea. They were never dependent on the market for them. There were times when the fishing by the old man was excellent and fished in a good catch, more than they can consumed ,their mother skillfully turned them into salted fish with the assistance of our bright sunshine,of course.Their mother was a very resourceful woman, full of wits.
In school she was wholly fully committed in her studies and never had Any problems with her school studies. She mixed well with her class mates all through her studies but in reality she had no very buddy ones that was all.Not that she do not mixed well with others she made friends easily with her friendly attitude but never kept a closed rapport with any that was all.
